Isaiah 53's sin-bearing language resonates strongly with the live goat bearing Israel's iniquities away, but Isaiah does not explicitly identify the servant as the Azazel goat. The common bearing/removal-of-iniquity theme is meaningful canonical background, but a direct servant-equals-live-goat identification would go beyond what Isaiah itself states.

The Son of Man gives his life as a ransom 'for many,' strongly echoing Isaiah's servant who bears sin, pours out his life, and justifies/bears the sins of many. The wording is not a formal quotation but the conceptual/verbal convergence is major.

Peter interprets Jesus’ unjust suffering and sin-bearing through Isaiah 53: the sinless one bears sins, his wounds bring healing, and straying sheep return.

The humiliation, servant role, obedient death, and subsequent exaltation of Christ in Philippians 2 resonate with Isaiah’s suffering and ultimately exalted Servant.

The slain Lamb of Revelation 5 strongly converges with Isaiah's servant led like a lamb to slaughter.

Acts 8:32–35 directly quotes or explicitly reuses Isaiah 53:7–8, so this relationship rests on the later biblical text’s own wording rather than on resemblance alone.

Isaiah 53:9 → 1PE 2:22: the later passage directly quotes Isaiah in a Christological context.

The words “give his life” and “for many” place Mark 10:45 in strong conversation with Isaiah 53, while direct verbal dependence remains debated.

Isaiah’s sinless, sin-bearing Servant provides a strong canonical background for Paul’s sinless Christ made “sin” for others.

Isaiah’s lamb-like servant is a serious second background for “the Lamb of God.”

Why this connection is credible: The suffering-and-exalted servant of Isaiah 52–53 is a major prophetic trajectory behind Paul’s suffering-and-risen Messiah summary.

Isaiah’s lamb-like suffering servant is a serious background candidate for John’s Lamb of God title.
