The Mountain Trembles – God's Presence Descends
On the third day, as morning broke, the mountain of God became a theater of divine majesty. Thunder cracked through the sky, lightning flashed in violent streaks, and a thick cloud descended upon Mount Sinai. A loud trumpet blast grew louder and louder, and all the people in the camp trembled. This was no metaphor—this was the physical, terrifying presence of the living God.
Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. Mount Sinai was completely enveloped in smoke because the Lord had descended on it in fire. The entire mountain trembled violently, and the trumpet blast grew even stronger. Then, out of the thick darkness, God called Moses to ascend.
