Deuteronomy promises that Israel in distress can seek the LORD and find him; Amos commands the northern kingdom, “Seek ye me, and ye shall live.” Both place life and return in seeking the covenant God rather than a place or religious performance.

Job and Amos both name the Pleiades and Orion while praising the Creator’s rule over the heavens. The unusual shared constellation pair creates a very strong lexical and theological connection within biblical creation language without requiring a hidden astrological system.

God’s speech in Job asks whether a human can bind Pleiades or loose Orion; Amos names those same constellations to identify the LORD as their Maker. Both reject human mastery of the heavens.
