Lasting Prohibition on Sacrificial Fat and Blood
The blood rule did not appear out of nowhere in Leviticus and does not end there. It begins before Sinai in Genesis, is explained more fully in Leviticus 17, and is repeated in Deuteronomy. The Bible itself builds the blood/life theology before later Christian texts speak about Christ's blood.
Where this fits in the story: Genesis 9:4 — very strong covenant background. Humanity is forbidden to eat flesh with its life/blood.
Where Scripture takes it next: Acts 15 includes abstention from blood, but whether its legal background is Genesis 9, Levitical laws, idolatrous meals, or a combination remains debated. A careful reading should keep the relationship possible rather than certain.
