Genesis 17 establishes circumcision as the covenant sign in Abraham’s male household. Acts 15 later addresses whether Gentile believers must be circumcised and keep the law of Moses and refuses to impose circumcision as a condition of Gentile inclusion in the church.

Acts explicitly requires Gentile believers to abstain from blood; Leviticus 17 is a strong Torah background, especially because its blood rules include the resident alien. The resident-alien scope makes Leviticus 17 especially relevant, but Acts does not identify its source explicitly, so the exact derivation of the decree remains debated.

Acts 15 asks Gentile believers to abstain from blood among its four prohibitions. Leviticus 7 prohibits consuming sacrificial blood, while Genesis 9 and Leviticus 17 provide broader blood-food theology. The connection to Leviticus is therefore plausible, but the exact legal source behind the apostolic decree remains debated.

Acts 15's cluster of idol-pollution, blood, strangled meat, and sexual immorality strongly resembles the requirements for resident aliens in Leviticus 17–18; exact derivation remains debated.

The Jerusalem Council's prohibition of porneia is often connected with Leviticus 17–18 rules applicable to resident aliens, but the exact content and Torah background of the decree remain debated.

Acts 15 includes abstention from blood. Its precise legal background is debated among Genesis 9, Levitical blood laws, and concerns about idolatrous meals. A careful reading should keep as a broader canonical trail rather than claiming a direct quotation of Leviticus 3:17.
