The Song of Moses and the Lamb
Revelation 15:2–4 shows conquerors over the beast standing by a glassy sea and singing “the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb.” The scene deliberately joins Exodus deliverance with the Lamb’s victory. As Israel praised God after passing through the sea, the redeemed praise the Lord whose righteous judgments bring a greater deliverance and draw the nations to worship.
Revelation’s victors sing “the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb,” explicitly joining Exodus deliverance memory with the Lamb’s final victory. The text itself makes the connection, presenting final redemption through imagery rooted in Israel’s song after the sea.
Revelation explicitly names “the song of Moses the servant of God” alongside “the song of the Lamb,” linking final victory worship with the great Torah song of divine justice and deliverance.
Revelation 15:3–4 strongly echoes Psalm 86 in proclaiming God’s incomparable works, righteous ways, universal fear, and the nations coming to worship. The density of shared themes and wording makes the Psalm a major source field for the song of Moses and the Lamb.
Jeremiah's 'who would not fear thee, O King of nations?' is strongly echoed in Revelation 15:4.
Revelation 15:4’s declaration that all nations will come and worship before God closely echoes Psalm 86:9, where all nations God has made are envisioned coming to worship and glorify his name. The verbal and universal-worship correspondence is very strong.
