The Folly of Idolatry
The chapter begins with a warning not to learn the ways of the nations or fear the signs in the heavens. Jeremiah describes the futility of idols—crafted by human hands, decorated with silver and gold, and fastened so they will not topple. In contrast, the LORD is the true and living God, the eternal King, who made the earth by His power and established the world by His wisdom.
