Willing Hearts and Overflowing Offerings
The chapter begins with Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skilled craftsman starting the construction of the Tabernacle. These were not ordinary builders; they were men whom God had filled with His Spirit, giving them wisdom, understanding, and skill for this holy work. But their craftsmanship alone wasn’t enough—the work also required the willing offerings of the people.
And the people responded with overwhelming generosity. Morning after morning, they continued to bring freewill offerings until finally, the craftsmen went to Moses and said, “The people are bringing more than enough.” Moses had to command the people to stop giving—because their hearts had already given so much.
