The Framing of the Tabernacle – Unity, Strength, and Foundation
After giving instructions for the layered curtains that would cover the sanctuary, God directed Moses on how to build the frame—the wooden structure that would support everything. Acacia wood boards, overlaid with gold, were to be set upright in silver bases. Each board had two tenons (projections like pegs) that fit into these bases, anchoring the boards securely into the foundation. Crossbars of wood also overlaid with gold would run along the sides, holding the entire frame tightly together.
