The Interior of the Temple
In 1 Kings 6:15–38, the narrative focuses on the interior of the temple. This belongs to the temple-building and dedication movement. The text explains how the house is prepared, built, furnished, filled with the glory of the LORD, and dedicated in prayer. The crucial question is not merely whether the building is magnificent, but whether king and people remain faithful to the covenant God whose name is associated with it.
Presence / covenant lens: Solomon’s temple genuinely belongs to the Christ-and-presence trajectory, but exact architecture does not automatically become gospel numerology. Seven building years, cubits, cedar panels, flowers, basins, and gold surfaces need separate biblical evidence before being called Jesus symbols.
