Until Christ Be Formed in You
Paul’s argument becomes intensely personal. He recalls how the Galatians received him despite a bodily weakness and says they once would have given him even their own eyes if possible. Their relationship has now changed because others are zealously courting them for the wrong reasons. Paul pictures himself in labor pains “until Christ be formed in you,” revealing that his goal is not to win an argument but to see Christ-shaped maturity restored in the community.
