Memory verse: Genesis 2:2 (KJV excerpt)

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made;

  • What does Genesis 2:1 say was finished?
  • What does Genesis 2:2 say God did on the seventh day?
  • What does Genesis 2:3 say God did to the seventh day?
  • What could a peaceful family rest time look like this week?

Read Genesis 2:1-3 with a grown-up. On separate paper, record what God finished, what He did on the seventh day, and what He did to that day. Add verse references. Then choose a simple family rest activity; describe it as an application, rather than a command stated in these three verses.

  • Which tree is named in both passages?
  • Which details belong to Genesis, and which belong to Revelation?
