1ከዚያም ንጉሥ አርጤክስስ እስከ ባህር ጠረፍ ባለው ሀገር ላይ ግብር ጣለ።

2የኃይሉና የብርታቱ ሥራ ሁሉ፥ ንጉሡ ከፍ ከፍ ካደረገው ከመርዶክዮስ የታላቅነቱ ሙሉ ታሪክ ጋር በፋርስና በሜዶን ነገሥታት የታሪክ መጽሐፍ ላይ ተጽፏል።

3አይሁዳዊው መርዶክዮስ ከንጉሥ አርጤክስስ ቀጥሎ በማዕረግ ሁለተኛ ነበር። የሕዝቡን ደኅንነት የፈለገና ስለ ሕዝቡም ሁሉ ሰላም የተናገረ፥ በብዙ አይሁድ ወንድሞቹም የታወቀና በአይሁድ መካከል ታላቅ የሆነ ሰው ነበር።
