First Day of the Seventh Month: Memorial of Teruah
The Bible's festival is not even called Rosh Hashanah here, and teruah does not by itself mean “shofar.” The familiar end-times chart is later interpretation, not Leviticus's own label.
Where this fits in the story: Numbers 10 establishes trumpet/blast use in Israel's worship and assembly world, but Leviticus 23 itself says zikhron teruah rather than explicitly naming a shofar.
Where Scripture takes it next: NT trumpet texts (1 Thessalonians 4; 1 Corinthians 15; Revelation) are important eschatological trumpet imagery but do not cite Leviticus 23:24 as their source or say the feast predicts the Second Coming.
