Reduced Offering of Birds for Limited Means
God's holiness law does not price the poorest Israelite out of restoration. The same principle appears again in Chapters 12 and 14—and Luke later shows Jesus' family using the Leviticus 12 reduced provision.
Where this fits in the story: Continues the purification-offering system while explicitly scaling the required offering to economic ability.
Where Scripture takes it next: Luke 2:24 explicitly records Mary and Joseph offering the pair of birds prescribed in the childbirth-purification law of Leviticus 12:8, not this passage. Leviticus 5 helps establish the broader economic-accommodation pattern but is not Luke's direct legal source.
