Well-Being Offering from the Herd
Paul gives us the interpretive key: eating from a sacrifice meant participation in the altar. That makes the well-being offering part of a much larger Bible story about covenant fellowship—without requiring us to pretend Paul called Communion “the Leviticus 3 offering.”
Where this fits in the story: Exodus 24:5–11 — very strong covenant background. Well-being sacrifices occur in covenant ratification, followed by the elders eating and drinking before God.
Where Scripture takes it next: 1 Corinthians 10:16–18 — very strong inspired interpretation. Paul explicitly reasons that Israelites who eat sacrifices are participants in the altar. This is the clearest NT interpretive bridge for the sacrificial-meal logic.
