The Earth Beast: Counterfeit Signs, Coerced Worship, Mark, and 666

Revelation 13:11–18 introduces a second beast from the earth who looks lamb-like but speaks as a dragon, performs signs, promotes worship of the first beast, and enforces its mark. The number 666 is presented as a number requiring wisdom. Revelation gives enough detail to identify the system as deceptive, idolatrous, and coercive while leaving room for careful interpretation of the number’s historical and symbolic dimensions.
