David Blesses the LORD: Kingdom, Power, Glory, and All Things
David’s prayer praises God as the source of greatness, power, glory, victory, majesty, riches, honor, and kingdom. Human giving is reframed: 'all things come of thee,' so Israel is returning to God what already belongs to him. The language strongly resonates with later biblical worship, including Revelation. The familiar doxology attached to the Lord’s Prayer in the KJV also echoes this vocabulary, but its textual history requires a separate manuscript note rather than claiming Matthew certainly quoted Chronicles.
