God Promises David a House, Son, Throne, and Kingdom
Instead of letting David build God a house, God promises to build David a dynastic 'house.' A future son will build the sanctuary, God will be Father to him, and his throne will be established. Solomon is the immediate temple-building son, but the promise also extends beyond one ordinary reign. Hebrews 1:5 applies the Father/Son oracle to Christ, and Luke presents Jesus as the Davidic heir whose kingdom will have no end. This is therefore a major explicit Christological trajectory, while the Solomon horizon must not be erased.
