Revelation 19:4
Revelation 19:1–6 answers Babylon’s fall with repeated “Alleluia” in heaven. The multitude praises God because His judgments are true and righteous, the corrupt persecutor has been judged, and the Lord God omnipotent reigns. The scene shifts Revelation’s focus from the world’s lament over lost wealth to heaven’s worship over divine justice and kingdom sovereignty.
Revelation 19:1–10 moves from four heavenly Hallelujahs into the marriage supper of the Lamb. The bride is granted clean fine linen, identified with the righteous deeds of the saints, and those invited to the supper are called blessed. When John falls before the angel, he is redirected to worship God, reinforcing Revelation’s strict boundary between the Creator and every servant or messenger.
Revelation 19:4 strongly echoes Psalm 106:48 through the distinctive pairing of “Amen” and “Hallelujah” at a climactic moment of praise. The resonance also preserves the doxological character of the Psalm’s close while relocating it into heavenly worship.
