Gather Us from the Nations: Blessed LORD, Amen, Hallelujah
The psalm ends with a prayer to gather God’s scattered people from the nations, followed by the doxology that closes Book IV of the Psalter: the LORD is blessed from everlasting to everlasting, and the people answer Amen and praise the LORD. Revelation 19:4’s unique combination of “Amen” and “Hallelujah” is a strong scholarly-recognized echo of Psalm 106:48. This is Revelation reuse, not a formal quotation, and it should be labeled accordingly.
