Great White Throne, Books Opened, and the Second Death
Revelation 20:11–15 presents the great white throne before which earth and heaven flee. The dead, small and great, stand before God; books are opened, including the book of life, and judgment is according to works. Death and hell are themselves cast into the lake of fire, which Revelation identifies as the second death, showing that even death’s dominion is finally judged.
