Passage Overview · Free · Ezekiel 39:17–20
The Birds and Beasts Feast on the Defeated Army
Birds and wild animals are summoned to a gruesome sacrificial feast on the bodies of defeated warriors and rulers. Revelation 19 deliberately reuses this imagery at Christ’s victory over his enemies, making Ezekiel’s oracle part of the Bible’s final-judgment vocabulary.
