The Ark Enters Jerusalem with Rejoicing
Hearing of the blessing on Obed-edom, David brings the ark to Jerusalem with sacrifice, shouting, trumpets, and vigorous dancing. He sets it in a tent, offers sacrifices, blesses the people, and distributes food. As broad Christological foreshadowing—not a direct New Testament quotation—the humbled Davidic king who brings the sign of God’s presence and blessing into Zion anticipates the greater Son of David who brings God’s presence to his people.
