The Word is Near You
Deuteronomy 30:11–14 is the movement “The Word is Near You.” Read it inside Moses’ final covenant instruction to Israel on the eastern side of the Jordan as the people prepare for life in the land. The section opens with: “For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.” It closes with: “But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.”
Scripture also places this passage inside a wider canonical network. Paul explicitly reworks Deuteronomy’s 'not in heaven / not beyond the sea / word near you' passage and identifies its canonical significance in the gospel about Christ.
