Two Silver Trumpets Signal Assembly, March, War, and Worship
The priests use two hammered silver trumpets to distinguish assembly calls, camp departures, battle alarms, and festival worship. The signals let a very large camp respond as one body. In war and worship the trumpets also point Israel toward being remembered before YHWH rather than trusting sound itself as magic.
Numbers 10 assigns priestly trumpets a battle-signaling role and promises remembrance before YHWH; 2 Chronicles 13 depicts priests with sounding trumpets as Judah cries to YHWH in battle.
