The generous soul shall be made fat
Proverbs overturns hoarding logic: there is a generosity that increases and a withholding that produces poverty. The cluster moves from grain and public blessing to trust in riches, household disorder, and finally the righteous person whose fruit is a tree of life.
Proverbs paradoxically links generosity with increase and refreshment; 1 Timothy redirects wealthy believers away from trust in riches and toward generosity, good works, and sharing. Both describe open-handedness as the truly rich way to live.
