Taste and See: Fear the LORD and Lack No Good Thing
The invitation to “taste and see” turns testimony into experience: discover for yourself that the LORD is good. Fear of the LORD is paired with refuge, provision, and trust, not terror that drives the worshiper away.
First Peter 2:3 echoes this language when speaking of tasting that the Lord is gracious/good, making the connection very strong. Peter’s surrounding context centers on Christ and the living stone, so the Psalm’s goodness language receives a significant New Testament reuse even though it is not introduced with a formal quotation formula.
