Creator of the Heavens, Earth, and Lights

The psalm praises the LORD alone for great wonders: heavens, earth, sun, moon, and stars. Creation is folded into the same refrain of enduring mercy that governs redemption. John 1 and Colossians later locate creation through the Son, giving Christians a canonical Christological horizon without turning Psalm 136 into a direct prediction.
