The Deceitful Heart and the LORD Who Searches It
Judah’s sin is pictured as engraved with an iron pen on the heart, while the chapter contrasts two kinds of trust. Trust in human strength is a desert shrub; trust in the LORD is a tree rooted beside water that remains fruitful in drought.
