Thou Hast Tried Us and Brought Us into Abundance
The community describes testing through net, burden, hostile riders, fire, and water, yet the destination is a place of abundance. Suffering and divine faithfulness are held in the same testimony.
The passage should not be turned into a guarantee that every trial leads to visible prosperity. Its point is retrospective worship: the community can now say that God preserved life through severe testing. New Testament refining imagery offers a close thematic parallel.
