Do Not Move Your Neighbor's Boundary
Deuteronomy 19:14 is the movement “Do Not Move Your Neighbor's Boundary.” Read it inside Moses’ final covenant instruction to Israel on the eastern side of the Jordan as the people prepare for life in the land. The section opens with: “Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour’s landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.”
Scripture also places this passage inside a wider canonical network. Proverbs says not to remove the ancient landmark set by the fathers; Deuteronomy directly forbids removing a neighbor’s landmark in the inherited land.
