Right to the Tree of Life Restored
Revelation 22:14 pronounces blessing on those who have right to the tree of life and may enter the city through its gates. The tree that became inaccessible after humanity’s fall in Genesis 3 now stands open within the final city for those who belong there. The Bible’s lost-Eden storyline ends with restored access to life in God’s presence.
Revelation 22:14–17 joins restored access to the tree of life with Jesus’ Davidic and morning-star titles and the final invitation to come. The Spirit and the bride say, “Come,” and whoever is thirsty may take the water of life freely. Davidic Messiah, new creation, and free grace meet in Revelation’s closing appeal.
Genesis 3 ends with humanity barred from the Tree of Life. Revelation 22 gives the opposite picture: the redeemed once again have the right to the Tree of Life. What is lost at Eden is finally restored.
