Desire, Praise, Flocks, and Faithful Stewardship
Human desire is as difficult to fill as the grave, and praise can test a person like a furnace tests metal. Because riches and crowns do not last forever, wisdom pays careful attention to flocks, fields, and renewable resources that sustain a household over time.
Proverbs 27:20–27 and Luke 16:10–12 share a strong thematic concern with faithful stewardship and responsible attention to what has been entrusted. The connection is thematic rather than a direct quotation.
