Wisdom Builds Strength and Rescues Those Drawn to Death
A careful reading should not envy evil people, because wisdom—not violence—builds a durable house and gives strength. The sayings then turn outward: when people are being drawn toward death, pretending ignorance does not absolve the observer, because the God who weighs hearts knows what was seen and done.
Proverbs says one must not stand by while people are drawn toward death and then claim ignorance; Psalm 82 commands judgment for the afflicted and active deliverance of the poor and needy from the wicked.
