Whoso Findeth Me Findeth Life
After the creation portrait, Wisdom again addresses sons and hearers. Watching daily at her gates leads to life and favor from the LORD, while hating wisdom is described as loving death; the cosmic poem therefore ends in a very personal decision about which voice will shape a life.
Wisdom says finding her is finding life while hating her is loving death; Deuteronomy sets life and death before Israel and identifies cleaving to YHWH as the path of life. Wisdom therefore develops Torah’s two-ways pattern.
