Strengthened to Know Christ’s Love

Paul kneels before the Father and prays that believers will be strengthened with power through the Spirit in the inner person, that Christ will dwell in their hearts through faith, and that a community rooted and grounded in love will grasp the immeasurable dimensions of Christ’s love. The prayer ends by praising the God who is able to do beyond all that believers ask or imagine.

Where this fits in the story: Father, Son, and Spirit again act together. The goal is not secret spiritual knowledge but a people filled toward the fullness of God and established in the self-giving love of Christ.
