1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or otherwise using Divine Threads, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any consumer right, remedy, guarantee, cooling-off right, withdrawal right, or other protection that cannot lawfully be waived under the law that applies to you.

2. What Divine Threads provides

Divine Threads is an online Christian Bible-study and research platform. It presents Scripture connections, historical and cultural context, word studies, source material, theological analysis, Christological themes, evidence assessments, and other educational study resources.

Divine Threads is intended for educational and informational use. It does not provide legal, medical, financial, mental-health, or other licensed professional advice. Biblical and theological interpretations may involve legitimate differences of opinion; the service may identify uncertainty, competing interpretations, or disputed claims where appropriate.

3. Membership levels

Divine Threads may offer Free, Plus, and Deep Study access levels. Features associated with each level are described on the Membership page. We may improve, reorganize, add, or retire individual features over time, but we will not intentionally misrepresent the access level being sold.

4. Paid subscriptions and recurring billing

Plus and Deep Study memberships are recurring subscriptions. When you purchase a monthly or annual plan, you authorize Stripe and Divine Threads to charge the applicable subscription price, plus any required taxes, to your selected payment method on a recurring basis until the subscription is canceled.

The price, billing interval, and recurring nature of the subscription are shown before checkout. Monthly plans renew approximately once each month and annual plans renew approximately once each year unless canceled before renewal. Stripe securely processes payments and stores payment credentials; Divine Threads does not store your full payment-card number.

Where applicable law requires additional pre-contract information, renewal reminders, cooling-off notices, or other subscription disclosures, those requirements apply in addition to these Terms.

5. Digital access and statutory cancellation rights

Paid Divine Threads memberships provide digital access that may begin immediately after a successful purchase. Some jurisdictions grant consumers a cooling-off or withdrawal period for online purchases or subscriptions. Those statutory rights remain available whenever applicable law provides them.

Divine Threads will not treat a statutory cancellation or withdrawal right as waived merely because digital access has begun unless the requirements for a valid waiver or loss of that right under the applicable law have been satisfied. If local law requires express consent, acknowledgement, notice, or confirmation before immediate digital access affects a cancellation right, that legal requirement controls.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel a paid subscription at any time through My Account and the Stripe billing portal. Unless otherwise required by law, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You keep access to the paid membership level through that date, after which your account returns to the Free level unless another paid plan is active.

Canceling normally stops future renewals; it does not by itself reverse a charge that has already been completed. Any additional cancellation, withdrawal, or refund rights provided by applicable consumer law remain unaffected.

7. Refund policy

Except where applicable law provides otherwise, subscription charges are non-refundable once digital access has been provided. This policy does not limit any mandatory statutory refund, cancellation, cooling-off, withdrawal, or other consumer right. Verified duplicate or erroneous charges will also be reviewed for correction or refund as appropriate.

If you believe you were charged twice, charged in error, or are exercising a cancellation or refund right provided by applicable law, contact us promptly at Christina.DivineThreads@gmail.com so the request can be reviewed.

8. Plan changes

Where available, you may change your membership level or billing interval through the Stripe billing portal. Stripe may calculate prorations, credits, or additional charges based on the timing of the change and the plan selected. The amount presented by Stripe before the change is completed controls that transaction, subject to any mandatory rights provided by applicable law.

9. Failed payments

If a recurring payment fails, Stripe may retry the payment and may ask you to update your payment method. Access may be limited, paused, or returned to the Free level if a subscription is no longer in a status that qualifies for paid access. Restoring a valid paid subscription restores the corresponding membership level.

10. Account security and responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity conducted through your account. Please use a unique password and contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Accounts are intended for individual use unless Divine Threads expressly offers another type of license. You may not sell, rent, share, transfer, or provide systematic third-party access to a paid account.

11. Permitted use and prohibited conduct

You may use Divine Threads for personal study, teaching preparation, research, and other lawful purposes consistent with these Terms. You may not misuse the service, attempt to bypass membership controls, probe or attack the website or its infrastructure, interfere with other users, use automated means to scrape or reproduce substantial portions of the service, or access paid materials without authorization.

12. Intellectual property

Except for Scripture text, third-party sources, public-domain materials, and other content identified as belonging to others, the original Divine Threads organization, research presentation, written explanations, graphics, study structures, branding, and website content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Your membership gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the service. It does not transfer ownership of Divine Threads content or grant permission to republish, resell, mirror, or systematically reproduce substantial portions of the service.

13. Third-party services and sources

Divine Threads may link to or rely on third-party services and sources, including Stripe, Supabase, hosting providers, museums, libraries, publishers, academic resources, and other websites. Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy practices. Divine Threads is not responsible for third-party sites or services that it does not control.

14. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Divine Threads available and accurate, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, hosting failures, security events, third-party outages, or other circumstances may temporarily affect availability. We may update the service, correct research, improve wording, change navigation, or modify features as the platform develops.

15. Research accuracy and interpretive limits

Divine Threads aims to distinguish established evidence from plausible interpretation, disputed questions, and speculation. Even careful historical, linguistic, archaeological, and theological research can involve incomplete evidence or scholarly disagreement. Users should evaluate sources and conclusions for themselves, especially when using the material for teaching, publication, or pastoral work.

16. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Divine Threads is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, that every source will remain accessible, or that the service will be free from all errors or interruptions.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Divine Threads and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the service. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it will be limited to the amount paid by you to Divine Threads during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

18. Suspension or termination

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, other users, payment systems, intellectual property, or security; to investigate fraud or abuse; or to respond to a material violation of these Terms. Where practical, we will attempt to provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Divine Threads changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when revisions are published. Material changes affecting paid memberships may also be communicated through the website, account area, or email where appropriate. Changes do not remove consumer rights that applicable law makes non-waivable.
