The Priestly Calling – Set Apart for Service
God now turned Moses’ attention to Aaron and his sons—whom He had chosen to serve as priests. Their calling was not based on merit or strength, but on God’s sovereign decision to set them apart. The role of the priest was sacred, a bridge between God and the people, and their garments were to reflect that heavenly appointment.
God commanded that special garments be made for them—garments that would give them dignity and honor. Skilled workers were to craft these garments with fine linen, gold, and rich colors of blue, purple, and scarlet. Every thread was to reflect the holiness of the office. These weren’t just uniforms; they were declarations of purpose.
