One Heart, One Soul, Radical Generosity
Acts 4:32–37 centers on one heart, one soul, radical generosity. The believers are one in heart and soul; apostles bear witness to resurrection with great power; grace rests on all; and those with property voluntarily sell assets so distributions meet needs. Barnabas is introduced as a positive example.
The wider biblical story comes into focus here. The summary again echoes covenant ideals about care for the poor and gives economic shape to resurrection witness. Barnabas’s generosity also prepares his later narrative role as encourager, mediator, and missionary.
