New Heaven, New Earth, New Jerusalem, and God Dwelling with Humanity

Revelation 21:1–4 brings together new creation, New Jerusalem, covenant dwelling, and the end of death and sorrow. The holy city descends from God like a prepared bride, and a great voice announces that God will dwell with humanity. The promise that tears, death, sorrow, crying, and pain will cease presents the final reversal of the curse and suffering that entered the biblical story.
