Leviticus 8 performs the priestly garment instructions given in Exodus 28: Aaron is clothed with the tunic, sash, robe, ephod, breastpiece, Urim and Thummim, turban, and holy crown. The later chapter is therefore direct execution of the earlier priestly command.

Exodus establishes the table, Bread of the Presence, and lampstand furnishings, while Leviticus 24 supplies recurring procedures for the bread and lamp service. The later law therefore assumes the sanctuary infrastructure already commanded in Exodus and explains its ongoing operation.

Leviticus 22’s command that sacrificial animals be without disqualifying blemish is later violated by the priests condemned in Malachi for offering blind, lame, and sick animals. The prophet is enforcing an established Torah standard, not creating a new worship preference.

Leviticus 24 explains the twelve loaves of the bread of the Presence and states that Aaron and his sons are to eat them in a holy place. That priestly restriction forms essential Torah background to Jesus’ appeal to David eating consecrated bread in Matthew 12 when defending his disciples on the Sabbath.
