Eighth-Day Eligibility, Parent-Offspring Limit, Thanksgiving, and Holy Name

Where Scripture takes it next: No NT writer identifies the eighth-day animal rule as an explicit resurrection prophecy or the same-day parent/offspring restriction as a Christological type.
Not slaughtering parent and offspring on one day is often compared with sending away a mother bird before taking young; compassion/parent-offspring respect is plausible but the Torah does not explicitly state one shared rationale.
Exodus already states that firstborn herd and flock animals remain with the mother seven days and are given to YHWH on the eighth; Leviticus 22 generalizes eighth-day sacrificial eligibility. The later law therefore develops an earlier timing principle in the sacrificial system.
