The Lamp, the Measure, and Hearing Well
Jesus follows the sower with compact sayings about a lamp, hidden things coming to light, careful hearing, and the measure by which people measure. The sayings press listeners not merely to receive information but to respond faithfully to what has been disclosed.
Where this fits in the story: kingdom revelation is not meant to remain permanently hidden. Mark balances secrecy language with disclosure language: what God gives must ultimately come into the light, and hearers are accountable for how they receive it.
