Proverbs 15:16–17
Several sayings redefine the good life: little with reverence and love can be better than abundance with trouble and hatred. Slow anger, diligent walking, family wisdom, counsel, timely speech, and the upward path of life all show wisdom choosing what is truly better rather than what merely looks larger.
Ecclesiastes says one quiet handful can be better than two hands full with toil and grasping; Proverbs says little with the fear of the LORD and love can be better than abundant treasure with trouble. Both wisdom books challenge the assumption that more possession automatically means a better life.
