Offering of First-Ripe Grain
The Bible's firstfruits idea grows: a first portion of the harvest belongs to God; later Israel confesses God's saving acts over firstfruits; Paul then calls the risen Christ the firstfruits of the resurrection harvest. The trajectory is real even though Paul does not say, “Leviticus 2 predicted this.”
Where this fits in the story: Genesis agricultural offerings provide broad background, especially Cain's minchah, but not an identical firstfruits rite.
Where Scripture takes it next: 1 Corinthians 15:20–23 — probable canonical resonance. Paul calls the risen Christ “firstfruits” of those who sleep. The harvest metaphor is unmistakably biblical, but Paul does not identify Leviticus 2:14–16 as the specific prophecy he is fulfilling.
