Nehemiah 9:6 begins Israel’s covenant prayer by confessing the LORD alone as Maker of heaven, earth, the seas, and everything in them—an inspired summary of Genesis 1 creation faith.

Nehemiah 9 and Acts 4 both address God as sovereign Creator of heaven, earth, sea, and everything in them, creating a strong verbal and theological prayer echo. Acts does not name Nehemiah as its source, so the relationship is best understood as shared biblical Creator-worship language rather than a formal quotation.

Nehemiah confesses YHWH as the sole Creator and sustainer of all things; Colossians reveals the Son as the one through whom all things were created, for whom they exist, and in whom they hold together. The relationship is a strong Christological development of Creator theology without making Nehemiah 9 a direct messianic prophecy.

Nehemiah’s prayer worships YHWH as the one Creator of all things, and Revelation 4 depicts heavenly worship directed to the Lord as worthy because he created all things and sustains their existence. The two passages converge strongly in Creator-worship theology without requiring a formal quotation of Nehemiah.
