The Woman Clothed with the Sun
Revelation 12:1 introduces a great sign: a woman clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet, and a crown of twelve stars. The imagery strongly recalls Joseph’s dream in Genesis 37, where sun, moon, and stars represent Jacob’s family, while Revelation develops the woman into a larger covenant-symbolic figure within the conflict surrounding Messiah and God’s people.
