Esther Enters the Court
On the third day Esther puts on royal clothing and stands in the inner court. The king sees her, she obtains favor, and he extends the golden scepter. The threatened intercessor is accepted.
Christian readers naturally hear an analogy with access to God’s throne of grace in Hebrews 4:16. That can be spiritually illuminating if its limits are kept clear. Ahasuerus is not a type of God, the golden scepter is not a biblical symbol later interpreted as the cross, and Hebrews does not cite Esther. The responsible label is thematic/canonical resonance: Esther dramatizes the danger of approaching an earthly throne, while the gospel announces confident access to God through Christ.
