Psalms 115:13
The psalm remembers that God has been mindful of his people and prays blessing on households and generations. The blessing is covenantal and communal, not a formula guaranteeing material increase to every individual believer.
Revelation 11:18 probably echoes Psalm 115:13’s blessing of those who fear the LORD, “both small and great.” The combination of fear-language and the “small and great” pair is distinctive enough to support a probable allusion within Revelation’s judgment-and-reward scene.
Revelation 19:5 probably echoes Psalm 115:13’s “fear the LORD, both small and great” wording while also drawing on Psalm 22:23’s summons to praise. The heavenly hymn therefore appears to combine multiple psalmic praise formulas into a single worship scene.
